Every Memorial Day, INFINIT teams up with a charitable organization that works to support our active servicemen and women, retired Veterans, and their families. It’s an annual tradition that we are proud to continue, and this year we're excited to be teaming up with Ride It Out MTB to help support their mission of empowering Veterans by giving them positive outlets for stress and anxiety through mountain biking.

here’s no doubt that we are living in unprecedented times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our lives have drastically changed over the past week or two with races being canceled or postponed, our kids’ schools closing down, and the challenge of trying to navigate working from home while figuring out your and your families’ new daily schedule. Many of us (including myself) were gearing up for our first big “A” race of the year only to hear that it had been canceled. This leaves us with a lot of uncertainty, asking ourselves questions like, “When will my next race be?” and, “ Is that one going to get called off too?”

Mass start, dust up the nose, endless climbs, stretches of desolate scenery, clock ticking. Gravel races are sweeping the hearts of cyclists across the country for the opportunity to complete something epic, try something new, enjoy beautiful scenery, and challenge oneself. As one of the newer disciplines of cycling, racers are figuring out how best to approach these races and prepare for them — Do I want to be a finisher, or do I want to try and win? Should I go for the 200mile or stay with the 100mile?

As a former punk rock drummer, AJ’s background is very unique in the sport of triathlon. He spent much of his teenage years touring the US with his band, while living out of a van. Nor is it a triathlon, or a strength-training competition. It’s the best elements of all those events rolled into what has lovingly been described by devotees as a sufferfest, and it’s going to push your body and mind to the limit.

SUP can improve stability from your toes to your head, core strength and stability, leg strength and stability, which helps prevent injury, and it can also be used to develop cardiovascular fitness outside of the three main triathlon disciplines as a fun and easy way to cross-train. It can even be used to work on lat strength for your swim or maintain fitness while recovering from injury. But it takes a little bit of knowing what equipment to choose to effectively use SUP to help you to your next PR. In this guide to SUP, we’ll review how triathletes can benefit from standup paddling and how to find the right equipment.

As the sun set on the final UCI race the Kingswood Cyclocross venue in Mason, Ohio Stephen Hyde (Cannondale Cyclocross World) crossed the finish line, arms aloft in front of a loud crowd to take his second victory in as many days of racing at the Cincy CX Festival with PanAm Championships. The men’s Pro UCI C1 (highest international category) at Kings on Sunday capped off two days of racing for amateurs and professionals alike.

The Super Bowl event for triathlon is on it’s 10 day countdown to Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Kona,Hawaii. The Ironman World Championships are here and for those who compete in triathlon, it’s our special day. The pro field is stronger than ever, but the real stories are within the age group athletes and the industry related companies who help them. These athletes have demonstrated desire, determination and discipline to qualify for this epic event.

Jenn J. Lee has been paddle boarding for the last five years and has recently began working with INFINIT for all of her in-race nutrition. For years, Jenn has worked on and off with other companies to try to find something that worked for her when she finally stumbled on INFINIT thanks to the recommendation of her conditioning coach. Jenn was a former competitive skier and equestrian rider that moved to Hawaii and was looking for something to keep her active. Today Jenn is one of the top female paddle boarders in the world and continues to work together with INFINIT to push her to her absolute maximum on her board.

Food IS fuel. Without significant amounts of carbohydrates, fats, and protein energy can not be stored, broken down, and used to power our bodies for training. Optimal physiological responses can not occur without adequate substrates that come directly from carbohydrates. Our main energy system that is important for events lasting longer than 2 minutes is the Aerobic System. The human body absolutely needs carbohydrates and fats in order to adapt and improve Aerobic Foundation (AF) processing rates, Prolonged Aerobic Capacity (PAC), and Aerobic Rate Capacity (ARC).
