Food IS fuel. Without significant amounts of carbohydrates, fats, and protein energy can not be stored, broken down, and used to power our bodies for training. Optimal physiological responses can not occur without adequate substrates that come directly from carbohydrates. Our main energy system that is important for events lasting longer than 2 minutes is the Aerobic System. The human body absolutely needs carbohydrates and fats in order to adapt and improve Aerobic Foundation (AF) processing rates, Prolonged Aerobic Capacity (PAC), and Aerobic Rate Capacity (ARC).
After spending the better part of last decade as a student of the sport of triathlon, it has become very apparent that I thoroughly enjoy sharing my wealth of knowledge with others. I have been incredibly lucky to learn from some of the best athletes and coaches in the sport. My knowledge, coupled with an innate desire to teach others, makes coaching the perfect fit for me. Coaching mixes two of my strongest passions, education and triathlon.

This past weekend INFINIT Nutrition had the pleasure of sponsoring and attending the Hincapie Gran Fondo just outside Greenville South Carolina. The event was set in some of the most spectacular riding areas in the country, all highlighted by amazing fall scenery and colors.
